Roger Xianwei Yu
Mr Yu is in private practice as a lawyer and a barrister-at-law of the Supreme Court of Queensland, the High Court of Australia, the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Supreme Court of Australian Capital Territory.
Born in Jiangxi China, Mr Yu started his career by studying a four-year degree course in English Language & Literature in Nanchang University. He then went on to complete a post-graduate degree in Applied Linguistics with Kunming University of Science and Technology, graduating in 1987. Mr Yu was appointed to the positions of Associate Professor and Vice-Dean of Department of Foreign Languages of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology prior to his coming to Queensland University in 1998. He graduated in Master of Applied Law in June 2000 and was awarded a Juris Doctor by the University of Queensland in May 2003.
